TCM was founded in Japan in 1949 when they began manufacturing forklift trucks. TCM 860 models were first developed in 1984. This particular 1985 TCM 860 has a direct fuel injection Nissan diesel engine capable of generating 178 horse power. It has a torque convertor with a powershift transmission with four speeds forward and one in reverse. The planetary axles on this TCM 860 come with sealed wet disc brakes with the front and rear brake system independent of one another. The bucket has a massive 3.5 cubic yard capacity capable of moving dirt and debris with ease. This wheel loader would also be ideal for moving snow quickly and efficiently.
Although, this TCM 860 has been given routine maintenance and it is currently in use, it still has a couple of minor flaws. It has a small leak in the injector pump, and the parking brake is faulty. However, the rest of the brakes function properly, and the engine runs great. This loader has been worked over the years. It has performed well and is expected to continue to do so. There are a few rust spots, but nothing that is falling apart.
The TCM 860 has the size equivalent of Cat 950. It has a Nissan motor with 4977 hours. This is a workhorse that has been designed to withstand the rigors of weather and any demands you throw at it. TCM has been known to produce lasting equipment, and they continue to have loyal customers worldwide.
