1997 Caterpillar 315B L Excavator used for sale, 36,000 lb Machine, U/C Tight, Runs Well
CAT 315B L Specifications
between 1997 and 2001.
This model is a 1997.
It has a turbocharged 102hp Cat 3046T engine.
It measures 28'x8'7"x9'6" (LxWxH),
weighs 36,200 pounds,

plus a 34" bucket.
Among its features:
a variable flow hydraulic system
with a work and power mode selector
that provides high stick and bucket force,
and a pilot-operated control system.
The 3AW series, of which this is one,
has a longer undercarriage than found
on the other 315’s manufactured at the time.
CAT 315BL Condition
has had this machine since April of 2003.
It's just had an oil change,
and aside from a few minor issues
-- the machine's A/C currently doesn't work,
and the glow plug is inoperative --
it runs and operates very well.
The undercarriage is good
(all the rollers are tight)
This machine is 100% work-ready.
The last 315BL rolled off the lines in 2001,
at which point the Caterpillar 315C was introduced.
With proper maintenance
this 315BL should easily double
the 17 years and 6,520 hours it currently has on it.
Caterpillar History
that their names become generic terms
for the products they represent.
The Frisbee, Jell-O, Murphy Beds and Band-Aids
have become so well known
that even when you’re buying another brand,
it’s the original that comes to mind.
For nearly a century, Caterpillar
– and the tracks that originally gave the machines and the company their name –
has been one such company.
